Midnight Prepatch Support

Raidbots and SimC will only have partial support for the Midnight pre-patch when it launches on January 27th.

Here's what to expect:

• Sims will be very hit-or-miss. Some specs may not sim properly for level 80 characters as most development time is spent optimizing characters at the new max level of 90. SimC devs are maintaining a SimC Midnight Implementation spreadsheet that you can check to see how things are coming along. This may be out of date so you may want to double check with your class Discord.
• Droptimizer will be disabled during the pre-patch. The item level squish is complex and rebuilding Droptimizer to handle the weird "in-between" state of pre-patch item levels isn't going to happen. Droptimizer will be ready for Midnight raids/dungeons/etc when Midnight launches in March.
• Top Gear should work if sims for your spec are working. It has been updated with the item level squish and most features should work normally as long as your spec can properly sim at level 80.

I strongly recommend checking with your class Discords to see if sims make any sense for your characters during pre-patch.

Most theorycrafters don't optimize anything for pre-patch and balance will probably be way out of whack. Go mess around and have fun!
